Congratulations Dr. Kyungyong Lee!

Kyungyong Lee recently completed his PhD studies under the supervision of Dr. Renato Figueiredo, in the Advanced Computing and Information Systems (ACIS) Laboratory. His research interests include resource management in a large-scale distributed computing system, and virtual networking using P2P systems. Kyungyong received his Bachelor of Science degree in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, South Korea. Before coming to UF for his graduate degree, he worked as a software developer for Samsung Electronics Digital Media R&D Center. During his four years at Samsung, he developed a network middleware stack that follows UPnP and DLNA protocol, which was embedded in various kinds of products manufactured by Samsung. Additionally, Kyungyong had the opportunity to work as a research intern at Hewlett Packard Labs from 2012 to 2014, where he was responsible for developing Distributed R, an open source R package for parallel execution of R using distributed resources.

Dr. Lee will continue his career as a Systems Software Development Engineer with this Fall.
