“[We] presented iChatBio (ichatbio.org), a chatbot designed to assist biodiversity researchers with discovering and exploring scientific data and derived information. Appling the AI intelligence of state-of-the-art OpenAI models, iChatBio can understand users’ requests to find and retrieve biodiversity occurrence records, media, and literature from idigbio.orggbif.orginaturalist.org, and biodiversitylibrary.org, in addition to using Internet search engines. As a single point of contact for many different online biodiversity services, iChatBio brings together diverse but thematically-related information into a shared space to help researchers answer broader research questions.”–Michael Elliott
