New Server Hardware for iDigBio

New storage hardware arrived last week for the iDigBio project. These new Supermicro servers will take the project from 430 TB to 924 TB of raw storage space (275 TB usable) and prepare us to accept the next 26 million images from the ADBC community. The new cluster runs the Ceph distributed storage software and will be connected at 10 Gb/s to the UF campus research network, making these media available to the world over the Internet2 network.
