Manuel “Manny” moved to Gainesville 5 years ago from his hometown of Ocala, Florida. He started his career providing IT support for clinical, laboratory, and enterprise environments within the blood banking industry. Manuel joins the ACIS lab from UF’s Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology research, where he worked as a Systems Administrator/Programmer II. While there, Manuel co-wrote “myBiotech” a laboratory information management system designed flexible enough to accommodate the workflows of several scientific domains.
